Alisha Lehmann has sent a “missed you” message to former Aston Villa team-mate Ramona Petzelberger after being reunited in WSL action.

German midfielder Petzelberger spent two years with the Villans between 2020 and 2022. Lehmann made her own move to the West Midlands during that time, with the Swiss star joining Villa from domestic rivals West Ham in 2021.

While the pair spent only one season together at Villa, they clearly struck up a close bond – as native German speakers. They may not be on the same team anymore, but their paths continue to cross in English football.
