According to journalist , the reigning European and English champions are all set to beat clubs like Real Madrid, Bayern Munich and Paris Saint-Germain to the signature of 14-year-old US wonderkid Cavan Sullivan from Philadelphia Union.

The journalist further reports that the attacking midfielder's agent Wasserman has already informed the other clubs that the transfer race is over and that Sullivan will be heading to Manchester City. Born in September 2009, the player will not be able to move to England until he turns 16. For now, the City Football Group are likely to send him temporarily to Belgian club Lommel SK.

Sullivan is half-German from his mother's side and hails from a family with a sporting background. His father Brendan played in the A-League while his mother was the captain of her university soccer team. Cavan's elder brother Quinn represents the US U20 side and also plays for The Union.
