Liverpool defender Conor Bradley is mourning the death of his father, Joe, who has passed away at the age of 58.

Bradley's father has passed away at the age of 58. The tragic news comes just days after the full-back's breakout performance against Chelsea, in which he scored and laid on two assists in a 4-1 win at Anfield.

A statement from Liverpool read: "Liverpool FC is deeply saddened by the death of Conor Bradley's father, Joe, today. The thoughts of everybody at the club are with Conor and all of the Bradley family at this very difficult and sad time. On behalf of Conor, LFC strongly urges that the family's privacy is fully respected at this time."
FAN GROUP SENDS CONDOLONCES
reports that Bradley's father was battling an illness for some time before his death. Anfield Edition, a fan group, sent their condolences to the young full-back, writing: "Our thoughts and prayers are with you, Conor. At least Conor Bradley’s dad got to see him on the main stage, scoring at Anfield in a Premier League game. He saw you achieve your dreams, Conor."

One must imagine that the 20-year-old will need some time off to mourn his father's death. Liverpool are scheduled to face Arsenal on Sunday but will undoubtedly respect their player's wishes as to whether he wants to play in the fixture.
