Brighton fans have taken to Twitter to slate Alireza Jahanbakhsh amid another wasteful performance from the Iranian winger.
The 5 foot 11 attacker was the top scorer in the Eredivisie last season and Brighton broke the bank to bring him in for a club record fee.
Since his arrival on the south coast, Jahanbakhsh has been largely ineffective, failing to score or assist a goal for Brighton this season.
Chris Hughton’s side have had another good season with Premier League safety looking likely. They also travel to Wembley to take on Manchester City in the FA Cup semi-finals next week, but many fans are hoping Jahanbakhsh doesn’t start in that game.
Fans are losing their patience with their club record signing with excuses that he needs time to adapt to his new surroundings wearing thin.
The performance against Chelsea was the breaking point for many fans as Brighton supporters flocked to Twitter to air their concerns about the winger’s poor first season at the Seagulls.
