Manchester City looks to have started their summer spending with the £7m swoop for Arsenal full back Gael Clichy. There were reports that the Citizens were also looking to add Samir Nasri to make it a double swoop on North London, but the interest has been dismissed at Eastands.
In the papers this morning there have been a mixed bag of stories that include Villas-Boas claiming that it is more than a two horse title race; Aston Villa to face Ajax in mini Champions League, while Liverpool chief claims he won’t be held to ransom over Downing and Adam.
