Arsenal star Jack Wilshere is set to hold talks with the club amid interest from Manchester City, according to reports from the Daily Star.
Wilshere has been in fine form since returning from injury at the tail end of the previous season, both for the club and on international duty with England.
However, with the Gunners’ plethora of midfield options, manager Arsene Wenger has revealed that some of his central midfielders may be required to play out wide during the new campaign.

Wenger said: “For me he can play in all the offensive positions. Wide, central, and we have many good creative players.
“They will all tell you they want to play centrally. Unfortunately, some have to go wide as well.”
This could therefore force Wilshere to consider his future, with the 23-year-old unaccustomed to playing on the wing.
Wilshere said: “I haven’t spoken to him [Wenger] but I will do before the start of the season.
“I’m just concentrating on getting fit.”
His situation will be a welcome boost for Man City, who are still looking to sign homegrown players despite securing a £49million deal for ex-Liverpool ace Raheem Sterling.
Last season Wilshere was out for much of the campaign with an ankle injury, which saw him feature in only 14 Premier League games for the Gunners, scoring two goals.
