Liverpool and Barcelona legend Luis Suarez has officially joined forces with Lionel Messi as MLS side Inter Miami announced his signing on Friday.

The Uruguayan striker becomes the latest high-profile signings for the David Beckham co-owned side. He will join the club as a free agent after he fulfilled his contract with Brazilian Serie A side Gremio. Alongside Messi, he also joins former Barcelona team-mates Jordi Alba and Sergio Busquets at the Florida-based club.

Speaking to the club's official channels, translated into English, the Uruguayan stated: "I'm very happy and excited to take on this new challenge with Inter Miami. I’m ready to work to make the dream of winning more titles with this great Club a reality."

Messi and Suarez were team-mates at Barcelona from 2014 to 2021, where they won four La Liga titles, four Copa del Rey titles, and one Champions League title. Busquets and Alba were also part of the team for the whole duration as they played a key role in one of the best squads in club football history.
