The Women's Super League's top scorer left the Gunners after having moved to London in 2017. In July, Manchester City announced the signing of the Dutch forward as they look to continue their upward movement in the WSL.

Given that players like Khadija "Bunny" Shaw, Lauren Hemp, Mary Fowler, Chloe Kelly, and Jill Roord all played for Gareth Taylor's team the previous season, Miedema will have stiff competition for spots in attacking positions. However, she has now spoken about where she would like to play for City this season.
WHAT MIEDEMA SAID
Speaking to Man City club media, Miedema said: "I have spoken with Gareth over the last couple of months and I got a good feeling from him. If you look at my career I actually started as a left winger, then moved to nine and recently played a lot in the 10.
"I am versatile, I like complementing those around me and assisting. It’s not all about scoring goals. I think we need to find the right combination and go from there.
"I hope we can find the connection and my game is about making the players around me better, so that’s working closely with Lauren Hemp, Bunny Shaw, Chloe Kelly, Mary Fowler, Jill."

Manchester City will play their first pre-season friendly against Leicester City on August 28 and it is likely that Miedema will make her debut for the side in that outing.
