Despite being a three-time Player of the Year at SToK Racecourse, with over 100 goals for the Red Dragons to his name, Mullin has found himself slipping down the attacking pecking order in 2024-25. That is due in part to the actions of Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney.

Hollywood co-owners in North Wales have continued to splash the cash, with Wrexham’s transfer record smashed when acquiring Sam Smith for £2 million in January. One-cap England international Jay Rodriguez, who has Premier League experience to his name, was also snapped up in the winter window.
WHAT WAYNE PHILLIPS SAID
Mullin is now being left watching on from afar, with the 30-year-old frontman struggling to make matchday squads. Wrexham legend Wayne Phillips has told : “He's right up there with the best I played with and the best I've watched in my 30 years with the club. But his season never really got going – and then, ultimately, players were brought in who have done better.”

Phillips added on Parkinson showing that he is not afraid to make big calls on the selection front, even if some promotion heroes find themselves left out: “You're not going to spend big money on strikers in January and not start them.
“And you don't get a place – or even on the bench – because of what you've done in the past. Phil Parkinson is an experienced manager with the promotions to back it up; he's been ruthless with players in the past and he will do it again.”
