Arsenal have reportedly sent their first offer for Sporting CP star Viktor Gyokeres, while Manchester United are prepared to outbid their rivals.

Portuguese outlet Mais Futebol claim Arsenal are prepared to pay Sporting just under €60 million (£51m) for the striker, with bonuses on top taking it above that amount. United, on the other hand, are said to be considering a €60m bid with another €10m (£8.5m) in add-ons. However, the Portugal giants are reportedly holding out for €80m (£68m).

This comes at a time when allegations of blackmail at Sporting have emerged, and Gyokeres has reportedly threatened to go on strike to force a transfer exit. Despite that, it seems the Premier League teams will need to increase their offers to land the Sweden international this summer.
